We are currently seeking a Surveyor at our Seabee/Santoy operation.

 

Primary duties will include all aspects of an underground operation as follows: Jumbo development; Sill development; Shrinkage stopes; Alimak raises; Cavity monitoring surveys; and Surface cadastral surveys.

The role will also include the assurance that work is carried out within relevant safety standards, guidelines, check and review processes, and a co-ordination/mentoring of a survey assistant.

 

This challenging position will be of interest to candidates who have graduated from the field of mine technology or survey. The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience in underground surveying including shrinkage stope surveying, alimak raise surveying, and competent in AutoCad and Excel software.  Mine Rescue experience would be an asset.  A strong work ethic and good communication skills are required.

 

The work rotation will be two weeks in, two weeks out, working 12-hour shifts.  The Seabee mine is a fly-in camp with flights coming from La Ronge, Prince Albert, Flin Flon, and Saskatoon.
